How to unclog the shower drain?

1.Unclog shower drains by hand

If the blockage is deeper down? Solve the problem by using metal wire:

Create a hook on the end of the metal wire.

Push the metal wire with the hook down the drain until you feel a blockage.

Pull the metal wire upward in a rotating motion. Hair and soap residue will be picked up by the hook.

2.Use a drain snake.

A drain snake, also known as a plumber snake-is a retractable, flexible drilling tool for unblocking shower drain. You should push the plumber snake down the drain until you reach the clog, and after turning the snake`s handle pull it back up. Then run the water to make sure the clog has been completely cleared and that your shower water is flowing smoothly down the drain once more. Make sure to clean your drain snake after use.

3.use baking soda and white vinegar.

One of the fastest ways to unclog a shower drain is to use baking soda and white vinegar.

Mixing baking soda and white vinegar, the vinegar and baking soda mixed together will cause a chemical reaction to create foam.

The mixture is then poured down the drain and it is recommended to leave it in for as long as possible (1 hour is fine) to maximize the breakdown of any debris clogs.

Finally, pour a few cups filled with hot water down the drain to remove any remaining dirt.

4.Try using chemical cleaners

If none of the appeal methods work to unclog the drain, consider using a chemical cleaner. You should be able to find a variety of chemical cleaners at your local supermarket. Be sure to wear gloves when using commercial chemical cleaners to protect your hands from the chemicals, and follow the directions on the package carefully.
